no he did not act in your fright night, idiot.
my fingers hurt as i am typing this, but a day of extreme fingering (don't even go there...) on my electric guitar is no joke, especially so after i haven't been playing consistently for eons and the calluses on my fingers all gone. however main point being... i'm kinda into x-japan now. sorta late? but like we've all heard before, the hackneyed: it's never too late to appreciate good music... the song writing cum drumming talent of leader yoshiki, impeccable 3 octave voice of toshi, total synchronization and complimentary guitaring by hide (lead), pata and health (bass) gives us this pyschedelic visual shock band. (go visit the address written at the bottom of the above picture for more infomation on them)
i'm not a good guitarist at all, other than my usual palm-muted madness, some 'not here not there' solos, and assorted riffs and chords, i don't play much actually. after watching hide on x's videos i was however inspired to learn the solo of 'endless rain', one of their all time classics. mad? definitely, but 'fret' not as i've got the score in my laptop and with more... ok many many more practice i should get better... though it's impossible to sound exactly like our good friend above himself, nonetheless i would consider it to be an achievement to be able to play it at least. all the pull offs, hammer ons, full bendings... phew! can't wait for my remaining x videos to finish downloading so i can simply ogle at hide's swift fingerings and the magic of the rest of the band.
my dear friend benny bee wrote and composed a song yesterday and go check out his site for the lyrics (boyfiends). he called me this afternoon and played it for me and i think it was kinda awesome... sounding damn emo and stuff. heh always knew that guy was a talented bugger.
just to let everyone know... i can't stand that fei yuqing fella. he sings like a sissy. happy national day bitches!
